Welcome, to Chromebook Music Maker!

This blog is here to explore and review online music making and learning resources which can be accessed via online sources. Although I focus on music making on Chromebooks, I will endeavour to provide information and guidance on music making and online musical education across a range of digital media.

Predominantly focussing on education in Wales, one of my aims is to also provide some guidance towards embedding the new Digital Competency Framework (DCF) as efficiently and simply as possible, through the mediums of music, sound and podcasting. I will also share some ideas I have regarding cross curricular Rich Tasks and how they can be devised and delivered using online sound manipulation resources.

As for my background, I’m a primary teacher with a wealth of experience, including teaching music and ICT across most age ranges. I don’t profess myself to be the ultimate resource, simply a sharing centre for the modern music teacher!

Please get in touch – either with suggestions or requests, and I shall do my utmost to respond and support. After all, teaching and learning should be a collaborative enterprise, not a solo effort.
